Commentary: Chinas constructive engagement in Middle East promotes stability, development

Source: Xinhua | 2016-01-18 10:05:12 | Editor: huaxia

by Xinhua writer Luo Jun

BEIJING, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- The choice of the Middle East as the destination for Chinese President Xi Jinpings first overseas visit in 2016 bears great significance, as China seeks to boost constructive engagement with the region to help it reestablish stability.

President Xi is set to put forward Chinas views on and proposals for the Middle East issue during his visit to Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Iran starting on Tuesday, all of which are representative and influential countries in the region and long-time good friends of China.

Having achieved rapid economic and social development on an independent path with Chinese characteristics and the reform and opening up policy, China has success experiences in peaceful development to share with its Middle East friends.

To China, much is at stake on this historic visit, as more and more regional and global issues, especially terrorism and extremism, have an increasing impact on China. Meanwhile, a Middle East slipping into conflicts, turmoil and instability brings high risk and threat to Chinas national interests and security.

Beijing is expecting to cooperate with these influential countries to help restore peace and stability in the Middle East, and to elevate regional development through joint construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, as well as through mechanisms such as the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.

Some Western political figures and media reports have misread Chinas role in the region as a "free rider" or exploiter of oil resources. Such remarks are shallow and short-sighted, missing the big picture of Chinas long-term presence in the region.

Prophet Mohammed once said, "Seek knowledge, even its as far away as in China."
In deed, Chinas shared destiny with the Middle East goes far back beyond the thriving oil business in the 20th century to more than 1,000 years before the birth of the United States.

Over 1,400 years ago, during Chinas prosperous Tang Dynasty, the ancient Silk Road, filled with merchants and goods, greatly facilitated exchanges among different civilizations and benefited peoples along the routes linking China and the Middle East.

To honor history and to innovate for common prosperity, China has brought up the Belt and Road initiative to revive the mutually beneficial trade corridors.

Chinas Middle East policy is deeply rooted in its historical interaction and relationship with the region. Whoever compares it with the mindset of Western colonialism is absurd and needs a history lesson.

Peace and stability, key to Chinas fast growth, is also critical to the healthy development of Middle East countries. President Xis visit will surely demonstrate Chinas firm support for its old friends.

Transpicuous News China Nuked and Chemical explosions EVERYWHERE

| 0 komentar |
Well my friends, I tried.   Last night Biggi, from CCN, and I tried to get Transpicuous News out live at its usual time to no avail.  My internet was so bad that I kept falling offline every few minutes.  The game plan was then to record TN this morning (when I usually have decent internet) and release it on CCN later tonight.....

.... yea that didnt work out so well.

I am hoping the have enough internet tonight to get on The One Peoples Roundtable Discussion, but even that might not be in the cards, lol.

Heres the thing, its high tourist season here in this area of Morocco, and right now the tourists are WAY overloading the bandwidth of the system.... so basically there is not enough bandwidth to hold the video/audio stable.   Tourist season should start winding down in about two weeks, so everything should be back to normal by then.  In the mean time... Im trying!!!

Anyway, here are a few of the screen shots I wanted to cover this week on TN.    China and the massive explosions and whats not being said and what is being said- I covered most of that here on RTS in the past few days.  But what hasnt been talked about is all the OTHER toxic explosions that have happened in the past week!   And then I went looking.....  Interesting that so many fires/explosions/spills seemingly have been happening in groups.

Great.... I cant even get the screen shots to load.  ARGH!  Well, here take a look at this list- the one that I compiled got rid of the junk and highlighted all the toxic elements according to time/area...but as I cant get that to load up, youll have to look through the list your selves, lol.

BREAKING NEWS Massive Explosion in China Nuclear smells a lot like Yemen

BREAKING NEWS!!

This could be some serious shit my friends.

Massive explosion in China, just east of Beijing  at the port city of Tianjin.   TWO explosions, one after the other.  The first was reported by the official Chinese news as being the equivalent of 3 tons of TNT, followed by a second explosion that was much bigger, the equivalent of 21 tons of TNT.

Does this sound familiar?

This is exactly what was seen TWICE in Yemen in May:  first blast, smaller, followed by a huge blast approximately 20-30 seconds later.  The Yemen bombs in May were pony nukes- I sent the videos to several ex military artillery specialists who all confirmed that these were low yield nuclear bombs.

Now this in China.  Notice the same sparkles and lightening.

.... my itchy bump says this was not a simple oppsy on a dock.   No way.

I will be following this very closely.

Media captionReports suggest that there are hundreds of casualties
Massive explosions have hit Chinas northern port city of Tianjin, leaving at least 13 people dead and hundreds more injured.
State media said the blasts happened in a warehouse storing "dangerous and chemical goods" in an industrial area of the city.
Pictures and video on social media showed flames lighting up the sky, and buildings are said to have collapsed.
Hospitals are reported to be overwhelmed with casualties.
The editor of the BBCs Chinese Service, Raymond Li, says all indications are that it is an industrial accident.
State broadcaster China Central Television (CCTV) said a shipment of explosives had detonated but this was not confirmed.
The first explosion at about 23:30 (16:30 GMT) was followed by another seconds later. Shockwaves were felt several kilometres away.
The China Earthquake Networks Centre said the magnitude of the first explosion was the equivalent of detonating three tons of TNT, while the second was the equivalent of 21 tons of the explosive.

Here are the Still shots I grabbed from the original video of the first bombing in Yemen back in May 2015 that I reported on in Transpicuous News:

I couldnt find the original video that I posted out back in May- but this is another video of the same two explosions.

Massive blasts in Guangxi, China: At least 3 killed, 13 injured, police blame explosive parcels

Get short URL
At least three people were killed and 13 injured after parcels containing explosives caused massive explosions in several locations in Liuzhou, in Chinas north-central Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, CCTV reported.
A total of 13 explosions were heard across the city between 3.15pm and 5pm, local paper Nanguo Zao Bao quoted authorities as saying.
